American Society of Highway Engineers Scholarships

For seniors who are planning to enroll in a program leading to a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil and Construction Engineering Technology. 

3 scholarships for $3,000.00 each

Applications are available in the Guidance office and must be post marked by March 2, 2019 

 

 First Commonwealth Scholarships - 5 for $1,000.00 each

For seniors who are members of First Commonwealth and are planning to attend a 2 or 4 year college or trade school. 

Essay and letter of recommendation are required. Applications are due by January 31, 2020.

The Healthcare Leaders Scholarship
Nurse.org is offering the Healthcare Leaders Scholarship. This $1000 scholarship is for students entering or currently pursuing an educational program related to nursing or medicine. Applicant must be a US citizen, at least 17 years of age, and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Please use the link below for more information and to apply.

Metzger Wickersham Road to Safety Scholarship Contest
The law firm of Metzger Wickersham has announced its 2018 Road to Safety Scholarship Contest for college-bound high school seniors. 
 
Students must complete an entry form and submit a creative project from one of the following categories:  poster/billboard, painting/drawing, digital design/illustration, video or audio public service announcement, song and/or dance composition that highlights the dangers of drunk or distracted driving.  First place winner receives $1,000; second place winner receives $750; third place winner receives $500.
 
Contest rules and entry forms are available in the Guidance Office or at www.arrivealivepa.com.  

Deadline for all entries is Friday, April 27, 2018.
 
 
 
Lehigh Valley Society of Women Engineers Scholarships - up to $5,000.00
Awarded based on academic achievement, extracurricular and leadership activities, an evaluation form and essay.

PSECU Scholarship

Seniors of the Class of 2018 are eligible to apply for scholarship funds from PSECU. To qualify for one of six scholarships awarded for up to $8,000 (up to $2,000 per year, up to four years), the student must be a PSECU member by Sunday, December 30, 2017.

Students interested in joining PSECU must be eligible for membership. Joint owners are not automatically PSECU members. There are many ways for students to qualify for membership. A complete list is available at psecu.com/eligibility. Students who qualify for PSECU membership may apply online at psecu.com/join.
PSECU members can then access the application at psecu.com/scholarships. During the application process, you will be prompted to enter your school counselor’s email address so that they can enter your required academic information.

 

All applications must be submitted by 12 p.m. (ET) on February 28, 2020 - no exceptions.

 

 

USW Hugh Carcella Scholarship Program
The United Steelworkers of America has announced its 2018 United Steelworkers Hugh Carcella Scholarship Program, open to members in good standing, or the son or daughter or legal ward of a member, retiree or deceased member of United Steelworkers, District 10 (Eastern) local union. Applicants may follow any course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.  A two year community college is acceptable when matriculating toward a four year Bachelor’s Degree program.  Several scholarships will be awarded, with a total value of $4,000, $1,000 per year. 
 
Applications must be obtained from participating local unions and must be postmarked by March 15, 2018.
