Wood Fab I

Students taking this course will learn how to utilize many of the woodworking tools and techniques needed to make a variety of projects.  Students will make a oak entrance way mirror.

1st Nine weeks:

   Students will be learning how to correctly and safely operate each machine in the wood shop.  This nine weeks is predicated on safety of usage.  Students will start making pieces of their entrance way mirrors during the machine demonstrations and will have the opportunity to work throughout the nine weeks.

2nd Nine weeks: 

   Students will finish constructing their entranceway mirrors and will learn about abrasives and proper sanding techniques.    Students will learn staining and finishing techniques to finish their mirrors.  vinyl sticker or laser engrave the glass of the mirrors and learn how to place the coat rack hooks on the oak frame.
