Expectations/Class Rules

"The willingness to accept responsibility for one's own life is the source from which self-respect springs."  ~Joan Didion

I teach learning support middle school math 7/8 and learning support high school math, 9-12.  The expectations are the same for all classes:

Be on time

Be respectful of yourself, your classmates, my classroom and me

Abide by all school policies-including dress code, cell phone, etc...(see school scout for any & all rules)

Be prepared

Have a good attitude, we will collectively work towards improving your math IEP goals and your general math knowledge

My caseload includes learning support students in grades 8 & 9.  These students will be assigned to my room during resource (study hall) to complete assignments, make up work, finish tests, etc... The expectations and rules for resource are:

* Bring all materials with you to resource, do not ask to continually go to your locker, you may leave one time per period

* Use the time effectively, unless instructed by your parent, homework will be worked on during this time

* Use this time to work on homework, projects, etc..

* Prioritize what needs done, do the harder work here

* If you need help, ASK!

 * Stay busy, if you have nothing to do, find something to keep yourself occupied

 * Work ahead if everything else is completed
