Academic Support Program

Bear Creek Community Charter School has an Academic Support program (ASP) that helps support elementary and middle school students who are experiencing academic and/or behavioral difficulties.  ASP is a support system that encourages parental involvement to benefit the child at home and at school.

The ASP team is comprised of representative staff that has an interest in the services provided to students at the school. Membership may include school nurse, counselor, administration, Academic Intervention Specialist, and any other relevant staff members.

Students are typically referred by the classroom teacher to the Academic Support Program, but any member of the school staff and/or parent may request support from the for a student whose learning, behavior or emotional needs are not being met under existing circumstances.
