OVERVIEW

ALGEBRA is a course that reinforces fundamental middle grade topics and provides comprehensive coverage of new algebraic concepts.  Each lesson will include problems that require critical thinking and written explanations.  Projects and activities will afford students a hands-on approach to learning and help to develop organizational skills and logical reasoning.  The course draws on students' prior knowledge and relates math to their everyday lives.

A notebook is required.  Three ring binders are most convenient for students because there are many handouts.  There will be homework most days because it is extremely important to practice skills and concepts introduced in class.
