Hello!  I am Mrs. Holly Sell a Kindergarten Teacher at Parkside Education Center.  I want to help you get to know a little bit about me.

I attended Kutztown University and graduated with honors Magna Cum Laude.  I received a Bachelor of Science in Education and dual certification in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.  Additionally, I went back to Kutztown and graduated with honors Sum Cum Laude, when I received my Masters in Education and Reading Specialist Certification.  I began my teaching career with Palmerton as a second grade teacher at S.S. Palmer.  After five years in second grade, I became a Reading Specialist at Palmer for grades kindergarten through sixth.  When Parkside Education Center opened in 2008, I then became the Kindergarten and First Grade Reading Specialist.  After 17 years of teaching in Palmerton, I decided it was again time for a change.  I am very excited to be teaching Kindergarten at Parkside.  

Furthermore, my commitment to education extends outside the classroom with several other areas I serve.  I am a member of our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).  I serve as a leader on our Curriculum Council Advisory Committee, which makes curriculum decisions for our school.  I am also a leader in Palmerton Area Education Association.

Besides my teaching career in Palmerton, my husband and I are residents and the proud parents of two boys.  I am involved in many community organizations as well.  As the wife of a firefighter for our town fire department, I am active in the fire company with their activities.  Furthermore, I am a volunteer for a local youth soccer league. 

As you can see, my passion for the kids in our community is both inside and outside the classroom.  I look forward to working with you to help all our children reach their fullest potential.
