Requirements for Honors/Enriched English 9

8th Grade Only!

Throughout this school year students must take responsibility for their academic success if they are to be recommended for the ninth grade Enriched English course.  Only self-motivated students who complete all Language Arts assignments and projects on time and earn a grade of 90 or above on all class requirements will be eligible for this advanced placement.  One must earn a 90% or higher on their research paper! Class participation is also a component evaluated for this Honors Program. Grades will be monitored throughout the four marking periods on all tests, quizzes, oral and written assignments, projects, independent reading assignments, and class participation/discussion. The ninth grade course is designed to specifically prepare students for continuing education beyond high school and to further challenge students academically.
