9^th Grade American History AR reading assignment:                          200 points

            As part of this year’s American History Class each student will be required to read 4 historical novels during the school year.  These books need to be at least worth 2 AR points each.  In order to receive credit you must pass the AR test for the book.  At the end of the 4th marking period students will upload scores to Moodle.  All four books must be read by the AR deadline of the 4th marking period.

A Historical Novel is:

• A book that is based around a major historical event anywhere in the world.
• A book that’s characters are affected by the events going on around them during the time period.
• Not necessarily an old or classic book.
