Welcome Parents and Guardians,            

This should be an exciting and interesting year for your child. 

LANGUAGE ARTS CONSISTS OF READING, WRITING, LISTENING, AND SPEAKING.

Students will be reading short stories, novels, and poems. 

Students will be writing informative, exposititory, and persuasive responses to prompts.

Students will be required to complete a career research paper!

Students will be speaking in class as they discuss topics, as well as, speaking when presenting assignments, projects, or reading their works.

Students will be listening to stories, poetry, other students' work.

Students will be analyzing and interpreting literature and informational texts.

Students will be building vocabulary.
