Mr. Matchock Mr. Matchock
I'm Mr. Matchock. I have taught at Glendale for 11 years. In 1999, I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. While there, I majored in Secondary Education Social Studies and History. I also minored in Geography. While attending UPJ, I played ice hockey for 4 1/2 years. I continue to take college courses while I'm teaching. I'm also certified in Drivers Education which I was able to acquire in the summer of 2009 while attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). I also continue to take classes through the University of La Verne out of California. Before attending college, I attended Glendale High School.
I not only teach here at Glendale, I also coach the girls varsity basketball team. I have been coaching the girls for 10 years. I was also the assistant boys junior high basketball coach and assistant seventh grade football coach my first year. I coached baseball from 2006-2008.
In my spare time, I like to play roller hockey and softball. I try to keep active and it is also a good way to meet new people. I'm a huge Pittsburgh Penguins fan. I attend between 5-8 games a season. If I'm not watching a game in Pittsburgh, I watch them on televsion. I'm also a huge Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Pirates fan. As you can tell, I like my sports. If I'm not playing it, I'm watching it.
