All About Me

My name is Amanda Peiffer and I will be your child's teacher this year. I am originally from West Lawn, Pennsylvania, which is outside of Reading. Last year I moved from Bellefonte to State College and I am super excited to have a short commute to school!

I studied Elementary Education at Millersville University. I am currently working on my Master's through The National Institute for Professional Practice. This will be my fourth year at Young Scholars. Before coming to Young Scholars I taught Kindergarten for 2 years in the York City School District in York, Pennsylvania. I absolutely LOVE Kindergarten and I am excited to work with your child this year!

In my free time I love to read, spend time with friends and family and go shopping. I spent the summer planning my wedding with my fiance, Shane. I am getting married on October 25th, 2014 in Reading, PA. My married name will be Mrs. Richard. We are SUPER excited!

 

 

 

 

A few of my favorite things:

color: pink

animal: camels and panda bears

food: fruit (grapes, apples, pinapples, bananas, oranges...YUM!).....and ice cream!

scent: warm vanilla sugar, apple, forever sunshine and white citrus

candy: I must say I'm not a big fan of chocolate. I do like mints and tic tacs, hershey kisses and reese's pieces!

flowers: all kinds, they are just so beautiful!

activities: reading, traveling, shopping (I love Target, Ross, Walmart and the Dollar Tree)
