This is my currently my third year at Glendale Jr./Sr. High school.  I graduated in 2009 from I.U.P. with my degree in elementary education, a double concentration in reading and math, and an emphasis in urban education.  Since then I have pursued and received my certification in Family and Consumer Science. 

Family and Consumer Science (formerly Home Ec.) encompasses a wide variety of subjects.  The "family" part of the name focuses the curriculum on the interworking of a household from child development, nutrition, and cooking, to school-to-work skills, resumes, and taxes.  The "consumer"  part of the name focuses the curriculum on being wise to the changing economic world around us and finances in the home. 

In 8th and 9th grade we touch upon school-to-work skills, nutrition, cooking, and the changing economics.  The senior high elective students learn school-to-work skills, taxes, changing economics, child development, nutrition, cooking, and much more.
