About Me

 

 

Educational Background:

 

I completed my undergraduate studies at the Pennsylvania State University and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Development and Family Studies.  I then completed my graduate work at Indiana University of Pennsylvania where I obtained a Master's and Doctoral Degree in Educational and School Psychology.  During my collegiate career, I had the opportunity to conduct research at both PSU and IUP.  I also have presented at both state and national conferences on family service plans.  Publication includes the following: Transition  assessment: Focus on personality and social skills.  In E. Levinson (Ed.). 2004.  Transition from school to post-school life for individuals with disabilities: Assessment from an educational and school psychological perspective. 

 

Work Experience:

 

I have worked in the field of School Psychology for approximately 13 years.  I began working as a School Psychologist at ARIN IU28 in Indiana, PA, followed by serving several districts in Cambria and Somerset counties through the Appalachia Intermediate Unit 08 and working at the Blacklick Valley School District.  I have served as a School Psychologist at Central Cambria for approximately the past 7 years.   Prior to becoming employed as a School Psychologist, I served as a Family Service Specialist for ARIN IU28 in Indiana, PA, along with working as a Residential Counselor at the Meadow's Psychiatric Hospital in Centre Hall, PA and working as a Behavior Specialist Consultant and Mobile Therapist for several agencies in the area.

 

Additional Information:

 

Most of my free time is spent with my children, Ayden (age 11) and Gabriella (age 6).  My husband John and I enjoy attending their activities and spending time with our family and friends.
