DAY 5  Finish gathering information

Interview someone you know who has experience with education and life in the country that you have chosen.  Use the interview checklist and the questions that you wrote for which you have not been able to find answers.  Remember to fill in the interviewee's information on your works cited worksheet. ( My Language Exchange)

Watch  some videos online about education and life in your country.  Remember to fill in the information for each video on your works cited worksheet.

                                             and\or

Gain permission to Skype into a classroom in your country.  If you need me to write an email explain our project to the classroom's teacher, let me know.  Remember to fill in the information on your works cited worksheet.

 

DAY 6 -  Pictures, graphics, and charts

Begin a collection of visuals to insert into your ISearch paper and Power Point\Prezi presentation.

Be sure to write the source on your works cited list and label the Power Point slide or graphic in the prezi.

 DAY 7  - Organization of information

 

Open the outline document for you class.  Outline.docx

 

 Fill in the outline using your written copy and save it as  ___________outline - for example Germanyoutline.

 

Building a research paper

 

Open the document labeled Part I

Part I – Your topic and how you chose it                                                                                                DUE:  December 2, 2022

 

  • ½ - 1 page in length
  • identify the topic and explain why you chose it
  • using "I" statements  "I chose to write about education in  ___________ because...".

Save it to my dropbox as lastnamefirstname___________PartI.  Your country name goes where the line is.

 

 

 Open the document labeled Part II

 

Part II – How the research was conducted                                                                                            DUE:  January 14, 2022      

  • 1 -1 ½  pages in length
  • explain in detail where you looked for information
  • Explain in detail what you found
  • Explain what worked\what did not
  • Explain how you organized the information
  • Use “I”

 

Use the orange sheet that you completed for your Q3 ISearch deadline to write this portion of your paper.

When you have 1 - 1/2 pages, copy and paste it into your file firstnamelastname___________ISearch after Part I.

After you proofread it, share the document with the other two people in your group.  Read each other's answer to Part II. 

Discuss in your small group.  Make any changes.  Save it to my dropbox as lastnamefirstname___________PartII.

Day 8 

 

Part III – Your research                                                                                                           ROUGH DRAFT DUE:  February 24th

                                                                                                                                                 FINAL DUE:  March 10, 2022

  • Do not use “I” statements
  • Include parenthetical documentation for every fact (site).
  • This section will include information about the education system in my country, ________________, ___________________, and _________________.

 

Part V – Works Cited                                                                                                              ROUGH DRAFT DUE:  February 24th

                                                                                                                                                 FINAL DUE:  March 10, 2022                                                                                          

  • Must be alphabetical by author’s last name
  • Left justify the first line of each source
  • Use a hanging indent for the second (and third if needed) line

Day 9 

Part IV – Reflection on the process                                                                                          DUE: February 10, 2022

  • ½ - 1 page in length
  • Use “I” statements
  • Identify the positive and negative incidents or experiences that occurred during the research process
  • Discuss what you will do differently next time you are assigned an Isearch project
