Graduation Requirements
Graduation Requirements for 12th grade students with IEPs:

  • Meet IEP goals
  • Earn at least 21 credits
  • 20 hours of community service

Each student who has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) is required to meet his/her IEP goals in order to be considered for graduation. Goals are monitored through progress monitoring and progress reports are issued as per the district report card schedule.

Each student who has an IEP is required to earn at least 21 credits, as are all students without IEPs.

Each Minersville Area High School student is required to complete 20 hours of community service throughout their high school career. These hours must be completed voluntarily, without compensation, and must be completed at a time beyond normal school hours. Community service must be completed for a Non-Profit agency (SPCA, American Red Cross, Library, School, etc.) and not for an individual person or a for-profit company. After completing community service, a community service form should be completed and returned to the Guidance Department.
