Hello, my name is Chad Saltsman. I am a lifelong resident of Port Allegany. I graduated from high school in 2007 and then went to the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford to further my education. While at UPB, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education (K-12). After graduating college in 2011, I immediately began substitute teaching for the Port Allegany School District. During my time spent substituting, I have been fortunate and honored to have had the opportunity to hold five long-term substitute positions within the school district, four of which were in the Health and Physical Education field.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy outdoor sports, spending time with family and friends, and coaching football and wrestling. I have been an assistant coach for the Port Allegany varsity wrestling and varsity football teams for six years. Having been involved in sports since I was five years old, I understand the importance of giving back to the community and the programs that helped mold me into the person that I am today. With that said, I am grateful that I have the opportunity to continue assisting in the development of our young student-athletes.
