Today we began a review unit on integer opertations. Students were given a handout to aid note taking. Homework was assigned, and an exit slip was given that was due upon leaving class.

Today we went over the homework. Students then completed a maze focusing on adding and subtracting integers. We then briefly went over some ways to remember how to multiply and divide integers with negatives. Please see me if you were absent. There is no homework.

Today we reviewed how to add and subtract integers, and discussed a variety of explantions when it comes to remembering rules. Students were given a handout to aid note taking. We also took notes on multiplying and dividing integers. Students then completed a "Find the Odd One" activity which allowed them to practice integer operations, and this was turned in. Upon turning that in, students were given a review for their open notes quiz on integers which will be tomorrow and will be open notes.

Today we went over the quiz review, and then students took a quiz on integer operations. Upon turning it in, they grabbed a fractions pretest which will be analyzed and used as a basis for me to know what exactly you all retained and understand when it comes to fractions.

Today we began a review unit on fractions. We took notes on equivalent fractions, as well as simplifying and reducing fractions. Today the homework and the activity given last class were collected. Students then completed a review worksheet on simplifying fractions and finding equaivalent fractions. Today we took additional notes on finding the LCM as well as the LCD between 2 fractions. Students completed a multiplication chart to help them with this process. I am so sorry I am out again today - I was in the hospital over the weekend for a severe infection and have been scolded by my doctor to stay at home, in bed, and not be on my feet (I tried to come in yesterday, and ended up having to go home almost immediently). Today students completed a graphic organizer in which they were to explain how to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions, as well as provide worked out examples created on their own. Today we focused a bit more on combining like terms. We looked at terms that may have more than one variable, and may or may not have exponents. Today all coloring activities were due. We then reviewed the concepts we talked about last week pertaining to solving equations. We did some examples in the notes. There was a notebook check. Students then were given 4 problems that were completed incorrectly. They had to identify where the errors were made, and had to correct them. Today we began class with a few warm up problems. We then took a closer look at the equations of parallel lines, and deciphering whether or not they are actually parallel. We looked at equations that were not already in slope intercept form (easy to identify the slope right away when it's in this form), so we had to do this ourselves. We did quite a few practice problems in our notebooks like these. There is no homework.

Today we began class with a few warm up problems. We discussed some key concepts, and did a notebook check. Students then completed an in class assignment on all that we have covered pertaining to writing equations of lines. It was due at the end of class and will be the last grade on term 2.

Today we had very short classes due to dismissal at noon. We did a few warmups and discussed the end of the term grades as well as plans to celebrate pi day on 3/13 (the day before pi day).

Today we began class with a few warm up problems. We then took notes on the equations of perpendicular lines. We completed problems asking us to write the equation of a line when given a point the line passes through and a line it is perpendicular to. We were given perpendicular lines in slope-intercept form, as well as lines that were not in slope-intercept form, and we had to put them into that form ourselves. There were a couple notebook checks. The homework attached was checked as students completed it, but was not collected today.

Today I gave each individual student problems that were similar to the problems they may have missed on the test. They completed these and if they got them correct, they earned half of a point back for every point that they missed on the test.
