Our next Environmental Club Meeting is 10/10/17 from 3:15 - 4:15.

 

Who: Environmental Club is open to 5th and 6th grade Towamensing students

When: 2nd Tuesday of every month from 3:15pm - 4:15pm beginning Tuesday, September 12th, 2017

Meeting Dates: 9/12, 10/10, 11/14, 12/12, 1/9, 2/13, 3/13, 4/10, 5/8

Make up dates will be held the 4th Tuesday of the month ONLY if club is cancelled on 2nd Tuesday of that month. Make up dates include: 9/26, 10/24, 11/28, none in December, 1/23, 2/27, 3/27, 4/24, 5/22

Where: Towamensing Elementary Library

What: Some topics we will investigate in this club include: exploring our environment, identifying local and worldwide environmental issues, analyzing global and personal human impact on the environment, promoting environmental awareness and exploring careers and activists in the subject of environmental science. Additionally, our club is responsible for collecting and transporting recyclables to the Towamensing Municipal Building. This requires member's time approximately once a month in the morning before announcements and during the member's recess time.

Environmental Club Contract

Environmental Club is an important commitment. Participants must be reliable and responsible. 

It is expected that as a member of environmental club, you:

1. Report directly to our Environmental Club meetings at 3:15 p.m.

2. Follow the SOAR expectations of our school

3. Come to club to learn and work

4. Are an active participant

5. Respect peers and adults in the club
