Welcome to 6 Maroon! I look forward to working with you this school year. We will be beginning with chapter 1 of your textbook which will include a review of place value, addition/subtraction of decimal numbers, rounding and estimation. It is important that you and your family take some time to read over the math syllabus I sent home on the first day of school. Below are some important things you will need to know to start the school year.
- All books are to be covered.
- All work is to be shown on homework unless otherwise stated. Work must be shown to receive full credit.
- Homework is important. It is your way of practicing the skills we learn in class each day for the test at the end of each chapter.
- Remember to ask for help if there is something that you do not understand. Ask early. Waiting until after the test is too late.
- You can access Compass Learning and Study Island at home just like we do at school. Both of these sites can be used for extra help at home or for additional practice and support.
