Economics

Economics is the senior Social Studies class.  Students will learn about the basic components of an economy, including an activity specific to the United States economy.  We will examine the importance of Supply and Demand and the influence it has on price.  We will explore the governments role in the economy and the methods they use to "control" it.  Throughout the year, we will examine the current events from around the world and look at how they affect the United States.  I will also talk to my seniors about investing for their future.

I use many different teaching methods in my classes.  I will do the traditional notes, worksheets, book work, tests and quizzes. This class will have a midterm and a final.   I also work hard to move students into the technology that the school has to offer.  My students will do posters, research, speeches, and computer projects.  I try to make my class interesting, as well as educational.
