Welcome to the PAHS Library! My name is Mrs. Kern and I have been teaching in the Palmerton Area School District for nine years. I graduated from Muhlenberg College with a degree in Communications and I have my library science teaching certificate from Kutztown University. I have a Masters in Education from Wilkes University and I am currently halfway done with a Masters in Library Science from Clarion University. In addition to teaching at Palmerton, I am an advisor for the Library Book Club. I am an active member of PSLA (Pennsylvania School Librarians Association) and a member of ALA (American Library Association).

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, baking, traveling, and collecting socks (I have over 80 pairs!).
