STUDENTS WILL BE ASKED TO BRING IN TWO (2) NUTRITION LABELS FROM HOME FOR FAVORITE FOODS THEY USUALLY EAT. WE WILL BE DOING A LAB ON October 31st
Plans for the week of October 28th
10/28 - There will be a Science World assignment from the latest edition of the magazine. Worksheet is due at the end of the period and will be graded.
10/29 - 1st MARKING ENDS TODAY Today, students will complete Study Guide 32.1 in class and turn in the sheet when done. This is a graded assignment. In addition, students will complete Nutrition worksheet for homework.
10/30 - First, we will go over the Nutrition worksheet 1st. Then we will do the prelab.
10/31 - LAB TODAY! LABS WILL BE DUE TOMORROW IN CLASS.
11/ 1 - LABS ARE DUE IN CLASS TODAY! New grade sheets and graded papers for the 2nd marking period will be distributed.

Plans for the week of November 4th
11/ 4 -
We will be watching a DVD: What Does Your Body Do with Food? Students are encouraged to take personal notes and will complete a 3 - 2 - 1 Exit paper. This is a graded assignment and due at the end of the period.
11/ 5 - Today we will be watching a DVD: Micronutrients:Vitamins, Minerals and Water. Students will be encouraged to take and will complete a 3 - 2 - 1 Exit paper. This is a graded assignment and due at the end of the period.
11/ 6 - First, students will read and outline (#4) pages 44 - 46 Main Idea #1 and only do carbohydrates on Main Idea #2. They are to copy the Visual Vocab on page 45 as well. In addition, Vocab words # 35 - 40 should be defined.
11/ 7 - Classes will visit CCTI today.
11/ 8 - First, we will take the Daily Quiz on Vocab words #35- 40. We will review Outline # 4 on carbohydrates and then outlines will be collected and graded for accuracy. Vocab words # 41-46 should be defined.

NOTE: Chapter test will be given on11/19 and 11/20 . Students should begin reviewing for this Chapter test.
11/11 - There will be a Daily Quiz on Vocab #41-46. Then students will read about lipids and outline (#5) pages 46 - 47 on lipids. They are to copy Fig 2.14 on page 47 into their notes.
11/12 - Today we will review outline #5 on lipids and then outlines will be collected. Students will then copy vocab words # 47 - 54 down and define them. They will then read pages 47 - 48 and outline #6 the information on proteins and Nucleic Acids.

Plans for the week of November 18th
11/18 - All papers will be returned today. Outlines will be collected to be used on Chapter test tomorrow. There will be a sort video used as a review assignment.
11/19 - Part I Scantron
11/20 -Part II Digestive System
After turning in the test, students should prepare a new Vocab Foldie and get Vocab # 1-8 copied and defined for tomorrow.
11/21 - We are beginning our new (outline #1) unit on Chemical reactions. Students will have Daily Quiz on Vocab # 1- 8 first. Then they will begin reading and then outlining chemical reactions on page 50 - 53 and copy the equations for both cellular respiration (pg. 50) and photosynthesis (p. 105) into their outline, leaving space around the equations to write notes.
11/22 - We will review our Outline #1 first and then outlines will be collected and graded for completion. Students will copy Vocab words # 9 - 13 and define them for next class period. In addition, students will complete Study Guide 2.4 for homework.

11/25 - Daily Quiz 9 - 13 first. Then we will review Study Guide 2.4 in class. Students will then be given Study Guide 2.5 to complete for homework. This will be in lieu of doing an outline for this section.
11/26 - We will be watching clips from several websites first. Students will be encouraged to take notes on their own. We will then review Study Guide 2.5. HMWK: Students are to add Vocab # 14 - 19 to their foldies and then define them.
11/27 - TODAY IS AN EARLY DISMISSAL DAY so not all classes will meet.
