1/ 6WELCOME BACK!  2 HOUR DELAY TODAY

Materials will be returned today.  There will be a short review of photosynthesis. Students will then complete study guide 4.1 in class. This will be collected tomorrow. Students will also define Vocab words #36 - 41 and be ready for a Daily Quiz.

1/ 7 - Daily Quiz on Vocab words #36 - 41. The Vocab Foldies for this chapter will be collected and evaluated for completeness. In addition, study guide 4.1 will be collected. Then, students will read and outline pages 113-115 on the Overview of Cellular Respiration AND page 122 on Fermentation. This will be Outline #4 and it will be due on 1/10.

1/ 9 -   We will be reading and highlighting the handout "What happens during cellular respiration?" in class. Outline #4 will be collected and graded for completeness AFTER the midterm. Students will also be receiving the Biology Midterm Review.

1/10 -    Students should then use the remaining time to review for the Midterm exam which will be on Monday and Tuesday, January 13 and 14.

1/15 - Today,  students will get a TAKE HOME QUIZ on Cellular Respiration to label and color the diagram of the mitochondrion using page 114 in their text.  The Quiz will be due on 1/16 at the end of class. Makeup Midterms today for those students absent either Monday or Tuesday.

1/16- TAKE HOME QUIZ on Cellular Respiration is due in class. Outline #4 will be collected with the quiz.

1/17- My Marking Period ends today at 3 PM. Today, students will be working on a Science World magazine article. This is an inclass assignment and due at the end of the period.

CHAPTER TEST ON PHOTOSYNTHESIS AND CELLULAR RESPIRATION WILL BE ON JAN 28 & 29!

1/20 - MLK DAY... NO SCHOOL TODAY

1/21- Today students will be using their notes and texts to complete Study Guide 4.4. This is due tomorrow. Chapter test is announced for JAN 28 & 29!

1/22 - We will go over Study Guide 4.4 first.  Then we will be reading about Energy Transfer using a handout.  Material is to be completed for homework.  CHAPTER TEST ON PHOTOSYNTHESIS AND CELLULAR RESPIRATION WILL BE ON JAN 28 & 29!

1/23OFFICICAL END OF QUARTER 2.
First we will review the homework.  Then students will read about Fermentation and complete Study Guide 4.6 for homework. CHAPTER TEST ON PHOTOSYNTHESIS AND CELLULAR RESPIRATION WILL BE ON JAN 28 & 29!

1/27 - Today we will be watching a short video and then completing a review sheet on Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration. Outlines for use on the test will be collected today.

Students will then make a new Vocab sheet and copy new Vocab # 1- 11.  These words should be defined for tomorrow.  There will be a Daily Quiz tomorrow. We will start our study of cells and their organelles.

1/30 - Daily Quiz on Vocab #1 -11 first, then students will read and outline pages 70- 72 on the Cell Theory. Also, students should copy the time line found on page 71 as well as the Visual Vocab on page 72. This Outline #1 is due tomorrow.

1/31- We will go over Student outlines from pages 70 - 72 on Cell Theory.  Outlines will be collected and graded for completness. Students will complete  Study Guide 3.1.  HMWK: Complete study guide for Monday.
