English 12: Read Chapter one of Lord of the Flies and complete the first study guide for Monday.

Adv. English 12: We will continue to work on our "note-share" about the Anglo- Saxons. Looking ahead: By Tuesday, we will begin our discussion of pages 18 to 28.

English 11: Work on creating your notes to prove that you are actively reading. You should take notes on the sections up to page 15 in your American lit books.

English 11, Period 1: Take notes from the reading, up to and including page 17

English 12: Complete chapter 1 guide. Be prepared for a quiz on our discussion today. What so far may be symbolic? Which words in chapter 1 connote danger? Which details help us to understand Piggy and Ralph and the rols they may play on the island?

Honors 12: Be ready to present your findings tomorrow. Please document anything taken from online.  For Tuesday/Wednesday, please read pages 18 to 28.

Honors 11: Continue to read "Of Plymouth Plantation." Answer the two questions (in the same packet as the Anne Bradstreet inforration). One question asks about Bradford's purpose in writing the journal. The other asks you to show the differences between the puritans and the sailors they hired to take them to the "New World." FYI-the vocabulary for Bradford and Bradstreet are on quizlet. Type KShrift into the search bar and look for the authors' names.

English 11: Complete vocabulary for Anne Bradstreet in the packet given to you in class.

English 12: If you have not thoroughly read chapter 1 of Lord of the Flies, you can catch up tonight. Tomorrow you will be working on chapters 2 and 3 in class.

Honors 12: Define epic and list its characteristics. If you didn't share your notes with teh class, be ready to do so tomorrow. You can also be moving ahead in Beowulf, section 1.
