This week I have only assigned 13-5.  This is area of polygons .  You will need to go through each lesson.  You can also google videos on the subject as we have done in class.  There are still several of you who have not completed the assignments 10-1 through 10-6,11-1 and 11-2, 13-1 to 13-4 Please check that the homework is at least completed.  Some have started it but did not complete it.  You can check Power School to see if it has been completed.  Try your best.  We can do this.  Only 3 weeks to go and we will be finished.  Miss you all.  Be safe and take care.

UPDATE :  Only the homework for each lesson needs to be completed.  When going through the lesson there is no need to answer "Got It" as we do in class.

Science

Welcome to 6th Grade Science (Week of May 18th)

Hello Everyone!

As we all are closing in on the end of the year, the remaining worksheets have been posted on Mrs. Hess' website.  They are mostly informative with little written work.  Also, there are 2 documentaries that we have listed and the links to get to them.  One is entitled "Inside the Earth" and the other is "Continental Drift and Plate Tectonics"  Hopefully everyone will be able to check them out!!

For the remaining worksheets, they may be completed in any order and I will mark them collected as they come in.

Great job everyone through this experience. It was a challenge for everyone and we are almost there.

The link to the list is at the top of Mrs. Hess' website at option 1.

We will be investigating Chapter 6,"Changes of the Earth".  Topics students can take a look at include:

Weathering.....Erosion.....Soil.....Plate Techtonics......Earthquakes......Volcanoes......Mountains......

Tsunami......Earth Structure.......Rock Cycle......Types of Rocks......Glaciers

This is a complete list of the episodes on Brainpop.  They do a very good job of helping to  explain the topics that we are covering in Science.

Any investigating the students would want to do on line would be helpful to them when we do get back.

Most importantly, everyone please take care and be safe. We are living through historical times, and hopefully we will be on the other side of this soon!

Sincerely,

Todd Serfass
