During the first week of science we will explore what exactly science is.  Your child may be asking for your thoughts on this. 

Please continue to be involved with your child's education. They can't reach their full potential with out your help.  Thank you!!!

  Below are some neat web sites dealing with some of the topics that we have or will cover in science this year.

http://education.jlab.org/itselemental/ is a great web site for the periodic table, atoms, elements and games dealing with them.

 

http://www.bgfl.org/bgfl/custom/resources_ftp/client_ftp/ks3/science/acids/index.htm is a good web site to explore acids, bases and the pH scale.

 

http://pbskids.org/zoom/games/kitchenchemistry/virtual-start.html is another site that can be helpful for the students called kitchen chemistry.

 

http://www.pplesw.com/ is a web site that will be useful for our upcoming chapter dealing with thermal and electrical energy.

 

 

               

 http://www-k6.thinkcentral.com/ePC/start.do is the web site to access our book and many worksheets on-line.  

Please ask your child regularly what is going on in school and have them tell you about it. 

The science book and many of the science handouts will be available on-line.  This should make being prepared easier.
