SPELLING BEE

    Each January students in 6th grade participate in the 6th grade spelling bee.  Three finalists from 6th grade compete with 6 other finalists in 7th and 8th grade.  The district then chooses 1 winner to participate in the Saint Francis University Spelling Bee, held in the auditorium of the John F. Kennedy Student Center. At the St. Francis University competition, one finalist and two runners-up will be selected to compete in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Spelling Bee.
