About Me

Greetings!  My name is Christian Sevinsky.  I currently reside in Coudersport with my beautiful wife Rita Rose and our sons Luke and Jude!  I attended Mansfield University and received my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education in 2010.  After graduation I took it upon myself to get the add-on certificate for middle school mathematics.  Upon graduation I subbed for a full year in the surrounding school districts at various levels.  The following year I was hired by the IU9 as a behavior support specialist at Coudersport Elementary for 2 years. During my time at Coudersport I was able to complete my Masters of Education degree from Edinboro University in 2013.  After working at Coudersport I spent the next 3 years holding long-term sub positions at Oswayo Valley (3rd Grade), Austin (Secondary Mathematics), and most recently Northern Potter (3rd & 4th Grade).

Outside of teaching, I am the play-by-play radio broadcaster for Port Allegany/Coudersport football and basketball on WFRM 600 AM/WHKS 94.9 FM.  I am an avid sports fan and life-long supporter of the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres.  My hobbies include attending church, spending time with my wife, family, and friends, working construction with my dad during the summer, exercising, and watching/playing/broadcasting sports.

Teaching is a task that cannot be taken lightly. I strongly believe that all students are capable of learning, if they have the proper direction and instruction from their teachers.  My goal for my classroom is to challenge students and watch them grow to their fullest potential.  I feel that in order to have a successful classroom I must exhibit a high level of passion, positive attitude and a level of excitement that my students will model.

This school year I will be teaching 7th Grade Mathematics and STEM.  I am truly blessed to be a part of this great school district and am looking forward to an awesome year at Port Allegany High School!
