Technology

Math can be a very rigurous subject.  In an effort to alleviate some of the work, I try to integrate as much technology as possible.  During class we use a SMARTBOARD while working in centers.  Sometimes the smartboard is used to introduce or refine skills.

Students have also had the opportunity to learn VOICE THREAD.  Voice Thread is an interactive way to share information via the computer.

Unit 6- Games and Review of Skills:

Multiplication, Division, Coordinate Grids, Measuring Angles

Games

A major aspect of the Everyday Math program is the emphesis on games.  The act of playing a "game" greatly interestes children and can build on skills that they learn in class.  Through technology and their student log in, students are able to play the games we play in class, online.
