Welcome to Architectural Drafting

Architectural Drafting is a course aimed at the student who is considering the field of engineering as a profession. (Although other students can benefit from it as well) The course is divided into five major topics: equipment, geometry, multi view drawing, pictorial drawing, and the use of CADD. The student will be expected to do many drawing problems using sketching techniques, drafting equipment as well as the computer. AutoCAD 2010 will allow the student to make the transition from paper to computer and demonstrates how to accomplish tasks faster and with more efficiency.

1st Nine Weeks: Students during this time will learn about the various tools used in board drawing and will learn how to create a two dimensional drawing. Geometric figures will be presented during this nine weeks and students will be able to draw them precisely. Students will learn how to draw orthographic drawings and will engage in the art of dimensioning their drawings. Multi-view drawings will take a majority of this nine weeks.

2nd Nine Weeks:
Students will learn how to draw pictorial drawings . Isometric and oblique drawings will be discussed and demonstrated during this nine weeks.
