Homepage Welcome!

 Welcome Parent(s)/Guardian(s) and Students!

Welcome! Biology is such a fascinating subject to learn about.  It is a natural science that focuses on life or living matter in all its forms and phenomena.  Throughout the year, we will examine numerous topics within the discpline of biology to include but not limited to life's chemical basis, structure and function, homeostasis, growth and division, genetics and gene regulation, origin and history, distribution, and interactions.

My class webpage will serve as an additional source of information and resources for both students and parents/guardians. However, the course's Schoology page will be the primary source for all required instructional content.  Please check the Schoology course page and calendar daily for class assignments, announcements, and supplemental instructional material.

Please know that I set high expectations for all of my students.  My two primary goals for you to learn throughtout the year are: 1) To learn something new about the discipline of biology 2) To learn something new about yourself as a person.  I am sure that many of you may find this challenging, at times, to accomplish. However, please know that I take my role as your teacher very seriously, and I will give you my very best each day because I do care about you and do genuinely want you to be successful in all you do!

I look forward to a great year of us being a supportive community of learners.  Please do not hesitate to reach out to me should you have any questions or concerns.

Yours truly,

Mr. Jason C. Jones
Science Department
