Early Childhood Education Linkage System (ECELS) offers a large number of opportunities for professional development to Pennsylvania early learning and school age child care practitioners.
Since December 1989, the PA Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (PA AAP) has operated the Early Childhood Education Linkage System (ECELS). Now operating Healthy Child Care Pennsylvania, ECELS provides health professional consultation, training, and technical assistance to improve early childhood education programs in the Commonwealth. To carry out this work, the PA AAP links the resources of government, early childhood educators, and health professionals.
ECELS continues to revise and expand professional development opportunities for early learning and school age child care practitioners. Many ECELS offerings meet the Level 2 STARS Performance Standard for Health and Safety. Don't wait until you need the credit right away. Funding constraints may result in a cut-off of self-learning module services before June 2011. Choose and use the professional development opportunities you prefer as soon as possible.
