The purpose of interventions is to ensure that ALL children are provided with the supports they need to meet/exceed age appropriate expectations as defined in the PA Early Learning Standards. A comprehensive system of interventions involves a graduated set of practices designed to meet the needs of ALL children. Universal supports provide the foundation for all children, however some children will need additional supports based upon varying needs. Additional supports may be provided by the classroom teacher, support staff within a program, or from outside sources, such as Early Intervention.
