Hi! I’m Mrs. Brigger!

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! There are lots of new things to be learned and new friends to be made. My goal for this year is to help your child become an independent and responsible learner, as well as, to show him or her how to make responsible choices. My expectations for my students will be high. They will need to work hard and do their best. Teaching is one of my favorite things to do! I am so excited to work with you and your child. This year is going to be jammed packed with lots of learning, fun, and adventures. I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us!

         ALL About Me: 

I thought you might like to know a little bit about me. I am married to my wonderful husband, Adam. We have a son, Hayes, and a daughter, Lenna. We also have a little Chihuahua named Rex. We love to go camping, and play outside. We currently live in Ridgway, PA.

I earned my teaching degree from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.  I graduated at the top of my class and earned the Student Teacher of the Year award. I am working towards my masters.

This will be my fifth year teaching, and my fourth year as a second grade teacher at Port Allegany Elementary School. Before working here, I spent a year teaching third grade in Florida.

I love my job and teaching your children! Although, I would not be able to successfully do my job without the help of you, the parents! So please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. It is so important to keep communication open between us.  I would love to talk to you whenever you feel the need! I look forward to a great year together!
