Welcome to Mr. Schneider's Middle School Social Studies Web Page

Medieval World and Beyond 7th Grade

  • This course is a study of the world in the Middle Ages.  This will include European advancement into the Renaissance, the rise of Islam and Ghana, the civilizations of Latin America and the rise and fall of Chinese civilization.  There will also be a focus on the cultural aspects of each of these medieval societies. 

We, the People:  Citizen and the Constitution 8th Grade

  • This course is a study of the American government system.  This will include the philosophies and history of our government system, the Constitution itself and applications of the document.  Current political and government news will be used to increase understanding of these topics

National History Day

  • National History Day makes history come alive for America's youth by engaging them in the discovery of the historic, cultural and social experiences of the past. Through hands-on experiences and presentations, today's youth are better able to inform the present and shape the future. NHD inspires children through exciting competitions and transforms teaching through project-based curriculum and instruction. (As from the NHD website www.nhd.org)
