My name is Charlie Bachert and I teach Keyboarding (5th Grade), Word Processing & Internet (6th Grade), Software Applications (7th grade), and Tech STEM (8th grade) here at the Lehighton Area Middle School.  I am currently in my 22nd year of teaching with the last 10 being here in Lehighton.  I am a Lehighton Area Graduate and have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Education from Bloomsburg University. I also have a Masters in Education Degree from Wilkes University, and have received my  principal certification through Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

 

 I live in New Ringgold with my wife Jody Ann who teaches Special Education at the Tamaqua High School.  We have two children, Tavia our daughter graduated in May 2010 from Kutztown University with a degree in Elementary/Special Education. She is now teaching in a Life Skills Room at the Mahoning Elementary School in the Lehighton Area School District. She is married to Joe Cardell and they reside in Hometown with their new son Zoltyn. My son  Zane graduated in May 2012 from Messiah College were he wrestled, and received two degrees, one  in History and the other  in Theater. He is currently the Drama Director at Plumstead Christian Academy near Quakertown, and also involved with may local preforming arts associations. He is also pursuing his Masters Degree in Education and Theater hoping to teach at the college level.
