Mrs. Sheldon's Musical Notes
America
My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing.
Land where my fathers died, land of the pilgrim's pride,
From every mountain-side let freedom ring!
The Star Spangled Banner
(Our National Anthem)
O say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that Star - Spangled Banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
God Bless America
by Irving Berlin
God bless America, land that I love.
Stand beside her and guide her
Through the night with the light from above,
From the mountains, to the prairies, to the oceans white with foam.
God bless America my home sweet home!

God BLess the USA
by Lee Greenwood
If tomorrow all the things were gone I'd worked for all my life,
And I had to start again with just my children and my wife,
I'd thank my lucky stars to be living here today,
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can't take that away.
REFRAIN:
And I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free,
And I won't forget the ones who died who gave that right to me,
And I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today,
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God Bless the U.S.A!
From the lakes of Minnesota to the hills of Tennessee,
Across the plains of Texas from sea to shining sea.
From Detroit down to Houston and New York to L.A.,
Well there's pride in every American heart and it's time we stand and say:
(Sing the REFRAIN)
