- I. Welcome and Introductions
- Staff
- II. Attendance/Drama Club Requirements
- Participation in both shows at some level.
i. Cast, Crew, Pit Orchestra, Usher, Concessions, Art Team, Costumes, or Hair/Makeup
- III. Fill out and submit Drama Club Information Form
- Make sure you write neatly so we can get the email information to you.
- You will be able to access the blank form on the internet. Pdesas.org/ktranter Go to Highlander Theater.
- IV. Elect Officers
- Each candidate will have the chance to tell you why they believe they would be the best Drama Officer. You choose your top 4 choices.
i. President- responsible for: ELECTED: LINDSAY LEISTNER
- Leadership
- Communication
- Attends School-Wide Activities Meetings
- Runs Homecoming/Open House/Activities Fair
- Does Fall Play AND Spring Musical
- Votes on Deposits and Check Requests
- Runs games and activities at meetings
- Using Secretary spreadsheet, Contacts Drama Club students when an all-drama email needs to go out.
ii. Vice-President ELECTED: JULIA LENKIEWICZ
- Works with President on designated tasks
- Makes sure Secretary and Treasurer are managing their duties
- In Charge of Field Trips
iii. Secretary ELECTED: KELLEN RAJCHEL
- Fundraising Management
- Manages Drama Club Roster
- Meeting Attendance- must be at every meeting
- Keeping track of Drama Club requirement compliance
- Enters all student Drama Club Information onto Spreadsheet and manages additions or deletions
iv. Treasurer ELECTED: MAGGIE BROOKS
- Takes charge of collection of money
- Signs for Deposits and Check Requests
- V. Fundraisers
- Homecoming- Thursday, Sept. 30th at the High School Stadium 6:30-8:30
- Unity In Community Walk/Run Fundraiser- Oct. 9th at Caste Village Go to www.dancingfor adifference.org to register.
- Name A Seat go to bwfta.org if interested.
- Steeler Ticket Raffle
i. If you have Active/Involved Parents who are willing to sell for us, please see me after this meeting. You can’t sell, but your parents can help us!

VII. Fall Play Information
- Title
- Rehearsals are generally Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. As always, I will work around your band and Baldwinaires schedules as much as I can.
- Show Dates: Nov. 20 at 7pm and Nov. 21 at 1pm
- Crew- will meet with Mr. Smith to discuss sets, crew dates and times
- Auditions
i. Sat. Sept. 18th at 10:30 am in the high school choir room
- See me if there is a schedule conflict
- If you're making Hoagies for Band/Choir, arrive as soon as possible.
- Bring your Fall Play Audition Form with you to the audition.
ii. Requirements: Perform a dramatic monologue no longer than 2 minutes.
iii. Criteria: I will have outside judges. They will rate your monologue using:
- Confidence
- How nervous was the actor?
- Volume and Projection?
- Pacing Nervously?
- Good control of hands and eyes?
- Clarity
- Did the actor convey clear characterization?
- Was there a clear connection? Or a disconnect between the monologue and what the actor was doing in the audition?
- Diction
- How easy was it for the judges to understand the words?
- Character
- How well did the actor convey a character to the judges?
- Facial Expressions/Gestures?

- Style Appropriate for Role
- Can the judge tell from the monologue that the person can handle a particular assigned role?
- Don’t do “Smigel” from Lord of the Rings!
- Don’t convey a comedic role for a non-comedic part.

- Date: Nov. 21st at South Hills Country Club
- Movie Title: TBA Officers Choice
- $10.00 Admission for All Can Eat Hot Dogs and Snacks
- IX. Spring Musical Information
- Auditions: Saturday, Dec. 18th and Sunday, Dec. 19th.
- Dates: Two Weekends: April 1,2,3 (Sr. Cit) and April 7,8,9
