MR. HOOD'S 8th Grade TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION CLASSES

In 8th grade Students will design and build CO2 powered Dragsters. Students will do the following Learn about design Make Thumbnail sketches of Rate which of their Sketches will work the best. Make a final design on paper Transfer the design to a Styrofoam blank and cut out the model. Evaulate their model. Transfer the design to wood Cut out their car Shape and sand their car Paint their car Evaluate and Assemble Race the cars Do a write up on their design and proposed changes.

  6. Evaulate their model by running it in the wind tunnel.
  7. Transfer the design to wood
  8. Cut out their car
  9. Shape and sand their car
  10. Paint their car
  11. Test it in the wind tunnel
  12. Race the cars
  13. Do a write up on their design and proposed changes.
