The EAHS Jazz Chorale is an auditioned group of mixed voices that performs at community and school events and concerts.  Auditions are held annually at the beginning of the school year.  Audition requirements are as follows:

1. Perform the prepared piece
2. Sight-read

Rehearsals are held in the EAHS Choir Room on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 - 7:00 PM.  The repertoire for the group includes pieces composed for instrumental accompaniment and a cappella singing.

• Don't Get Around Much Anymore (Jack Kunz)
  • Part assignment for 3-part women: I: Nicole; II: Katrina, Marissa, Grace; III: Hannah, Kelly, Sam
  • Solo will be a FEMALE solo
  • mm. 27-29: 5-part divisi: B: Tenors; E: Kelly, Sam; A: Grace, Hannah; D: Katrina, Marissa; F#: Nicole

***Basses will sing mm. 27-29.  Tenors will rejoin in mm. 30.

• Sassy Samba (Jimmy Heath)
  • Sopano I: Marissa- C's and F's above staff are optional and may be taken down an octave
    
  • Soprano II: Nicole, Katrina, Grace- when recording splits, Sop. sing upper part and Grace sings lower part
