Communicating Technical Designs
Technology Education Instructor: Mr. Dierling
Course Overview:
In this course the student will learn basic drafting techniques, begin to develop creative thinking skills and develop an interest for expanded drafting (CAD) in a technical area such as Architecture or Engineering.

Classroom Rules:
Attendance: Attendance is mandatory. The class tries to simulate the real workplace. As in the real workplace if you are not here you can not and will not be successful. Also included is the school attendance policy on page 16 in the District Student Code of Conduct.
Behavior: Each student is responsible for his/her own actions. The student must be respectful and responsible. Each behavior situation will be handled on an individual basis. The District Student Code of Conduct will be enforced.
Tardies. The student must be on time. The policy on page 17 in the District Code of Conduct will be enforced.
Course Materials: All Drafting supplies will be provided. The student will be given his/her own set of triangles and scale.
Course Text & Readings: Reading material and resources will be provided as needed
Assessments: Tests, quizzes, drawings and projects

Academic Dishonesty: Cheating is unacceptable!

Homework: Most work is completed in class with the exception of a few projects. However the student may sign out equipment and work on drawings at home if necessary.
