  2. Students will be able to solve equations.
  3. Students will be able to identify and solve linear models.
  4. Students will be able to identify and solve exponential factors and growth rate.
  5. Students will be able to utilize and solve the Pythagorean Theorem.
  6. Students will become familiar with quadratic expressions and functions.
  7. Students will be able to identify and use the three types of symmetry.
  8. Students will be able to combine and solve expressions.

 Grading: Grading is as follows:

             A+ = 97 – 100       A = 93 – 96       A-  = 90 – 92

             B+ = 87 – 89         B = 83 – 86       B- = 80 – 82

             C+ = 77 – 79         C = 73 – 76       C- = 70 – 72

             D+ = 66 – 69         D = 60 – 65       F = 0 – 59

Expectations: Students are expected to be in class on time and ready to learn.  Students should have materials ready for instruction.  Students are expected to work from bell to bell at the best of their ability.  Assignments must be handed in on time; if late points will be deducted.  In the chance that homework is assigned students are expected to have it completed before the following class.  If a student is absent they are responsible to ask for make-up work.  Students will be given three days to complete make-up work; on the fourth day points will be deducted.  Every Friday, students will be given 45 minutes to complete any missing work.  Students are not to use a cell phone during class.  They will receive one warning, after that I will take the phone until the end of the day.
