Your child will receive homework every evening Monday through Thursday.  Homework is a wonderful way for children to practice the skills taught in school that day.  If children are consistently doing homework it will lead to a more successful school year.

I understand that sometimes children will struggle with homework at home.  If problems arise please don't hestitate to call me or send me a note so I am aware and can reach out to your child the next day in school.

Everyday when the children come into school they will copy down their homework and I will sign their homework book.  Please look over their homework book to check what is expected of the children and to make sure all homework is being completed.  Study Guides will be sent home regularly for Science and Social Studies.  Even on nights when there is no written homework, students are expected to study the Study Guides.

If a child misses 2 consecutive homework assignments I will make a phone call home to get in touch with you to make sure you are aware of this.  When a child misses 5 homework assignments their grade will be lowered one letter grade (Ex:  B+ to a B).

When a child takes a test in school they will go home on Tuesdays (please look for tests in their homework folders on Tuesday).  The tests should be signed and returned by that Friday.  Returned tests will be kept in a folder at school.

Monday - ABC Order                        StudyGuides should be studied nightly

Tuesday - 3 Times each

Wednesday - 10 Sentences

Thursday - Study
