Starting in the 2010-2011 school year, Acme and Colfax will run a Title I Schoolwide Program as opposed to a Title I Targeted Assissted Program. Please see the chart below to explain the differences. - School poverty rate below 40% (determined by the number of free and/or
reduced lunch students there

- Specific students are identified (targeted) and provided additional instruction (assisted)
- Parental permission letter required
- Instruction provided in the classroom or in pull out small groups depending on individual academic needs
- Assistance limited to identified and targeted students

- Format of the program in 2010-2011 school year
- Requires a school to have 40% or higher poverty rate
- Assistance is offered to any student who displays a need for instructional support in reading and/or math throughout the year.
- Parental permission letter NOT required.
- Assistance may last a week, a month, a semester or the school year depending on the needs of each student
- Instruction provided in the classroom or in pull out small groups depending on individual academic needs
- Allows for greater flexibility to provide reading and/or math support to any student
- Changes in assistance provided will be ongoing throughout the school year
