Monday    No School - Labor Day
Tuesday      

Welcome & Rules:  Students will understand the class rules and rewards system for positive behavior.                                                                      Writing Activity:  Students will use a graphic organizer to brainstorm different talents.  They will then respond to a story starter One of my talents is.......                                                                                     

They will be expected to write a journal entry that describes: the talent, when they learned it, where they learned it, how often they use it, and what they plan to use it for in the future. 

Wednesday  Writing Activity, Continued:  Students will complete the writing assignment that he began yesterday.  In their journal, they will write about their talent that they chose and also use their graphic organizer as a guide to develop a nice piece of writing.
Thursday   Claws and Paws Leveled Readers - Comprehension and Vocabulary Questions, Lesson 13:  The story that students will read is about seals.  They will read the story, think about what they read, and answer vocabulary and comprehension questions at the end.                                                                                                            *If time permits, students will practice division skills using flashcards.
Friday        Using a Map:  Students will identify states and capitals on the US map.                                                                                                                         Game:  United States Race - Students will play a trivia game based on questions about the United States.  The game involves answering questions correctly about each state and then moving the game piece along the board.
