Lesson Plan Grade 5
Monday    No School - Labor Day
Tuesday       Welcome & Rules:   Students will understand the class rules and rewards system for positive behavior.                                                                             Journal Activity:  Students will respond to the following journal prompt:  September is National Very Important Parents Month.  Describe something that you could do to make your parents feel very important. (3 paragraphs)                                                                                                                     
Wednesday  Gills and Bills Leveled Readers, Comprehension and Vocabulary Activities, Lesson 6:  Students will read the story about Going to the ballgame.  They will complete the questions at the end of the story.                                                                                                             *If time permits, students will practice division flashcards.

Friday                                                                                                                   Game:  United States Race - Students will play a trivia game based on questions about the United States.  The game involves answering questions correctly about each state and then moving the game piece along the board.
