Reading Requirement

To encourage our students to explore the many diverse genres in literature, we have instituted a school-wide reading requirement.  The details of this may be found on the school website, www.palmerton.org.  Under the drop-down menu, click on S.S. Palmer, scroll down to the Reading Requirement link, click, and your are there!  You may read the parent letter and/or download and print the form for each book read.

Book-It Reading Incentive

Our second grade incentive program, Book-It, is optional.  However, if your child completes the required monthly reading (10 books) and fills out the Book-It form, he/she will receive a coupon for Pizza Hut.  Even better, your child will begin to develop a lifelong love of reading!
