COURSE DESCRIPTION:
During the class you will learn the proper way to type, the location of the keys on the keyboard, some basic information about computers, monitors, and equipment, and some fun things to do in Microsoft Word. The goal for each student is to type 20 words per minute and know the location of the keys on the keyboard without peeking!! This may sound like a bit much, but don’t worry we will take it one day at a time. You will all succeed! With technology moving at such a rapid pace, classes such as these are essential to staying ahead.
COURSE OBJECTIVES AND GOALS:
To become a good typist the students must practice, practice, practice. If you have a computer at home please try to stress the importance of using the correct fingers to type and not looking down at the keyboard. This will help the students in mastering the keyboard.
