On April 9, 2009, the first community college chapter of Kappa Delta Pi in the state of Pennsylvania was established at Lehigh Carbon Community College. As counselor and charter member of Alpha Epsilon Zeta, I had the pleasure of working with students to create an identity on campus, plan chapter programming and initiate fundraising events, and recruit potential members.

Chapter Programming included:

• $500 Donation to KDP Centennial Scholarship Fund, 2012
• Over $650 Donation of new board books purchased for Cops and Kids, 2012
• Hosted Community Event Pre-Screening of "American Teacher" documentary, 2012
• Walking Taco Fundraising events, 2010, 2011
• The Great Kappa Delta PIE Sale Fundraising Event, 2010
• Volunteered for Cops and Kids Annual Celebration of Reading Community Event, Bethlehem, 2011
• Sponsored New and Used Book Drive to Benefit Cops and Kids, 2010, 2011
• Collected over 150 new and used Coats as part of a drive to benefit Casa Guadalupe Center, Allentown, 2011
• Co-Sponsored several Teacher Education Department Events such as Casa Guadelupe Project, Walk for Autism, Hearts for Haiti, and Breast Cancer Awareness Month Activities
