Action Plans

The following pages contain three action plans for an elementary school classroom. They are based off of Epstein's levels of involvement. The first action plan is how I plan to involve parents in the classroom in different ways. The second plan covers how I plan to enhance the manners of the students in my classroom. The final action plan shows how I will involve working parents in the classroom to make an inclusive community. All of these topics are important. Parents need to be involved in many ways in the classroom, not just by sending items in. This plan shows how I can incorporate them into the everyday classroom. Behavior is also very important in the classroom. Through the behavior action plan my students will be able to learn what is acceptable school behavior and hopefully carry these qualities on in their home life also. Finally all parents should be part of the classroom community. It is often difficult for working parents to be involved because school activities occur during the work day.
